Samo Sagan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ján Pavlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Filip Luntzer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Róbert Tomčík, 1-0. After 14 played minutes Hrabovec got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Timčo. In the 17th minute, Václav Badura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Kohútik might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alojz Dubík. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurel Kohútik ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ján Pavlov came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the TEXAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ján Pavlov couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes TEXAS got a freekick which was hit by Václav Badura. Ivan Karaš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Samo Sagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of TEXAS booed when Hrabovec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dávid Blaško didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ľubomír Nagy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Róbert Tomčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samo Sagan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Samo Sagan managed to get in a good position for a shot. TEXAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Samo Sagan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbert Tomčík breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samo Sagan in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbert Tomčík prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TEXAS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
