The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Marek Macák fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hrabovec's protests and gave Marek Macák a yellow card for diving instead. Marek Macák kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Kohútik got free with Tibor Petro in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Teplička's Tibor Petro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Karaš in the 19th minute of play. Ladislav Ruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Róbert Tomčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tibor Petro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Kohútik, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
