After 37 played minutes FK Púchov got a freekick which was hit by Martin Pašek. 38 minutes into the match, FC Scania's Ivan Petríček broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Matej Gerbóc hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes in the game Ivan Petríček after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Branislav Janovský. A very good opportunity. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michal Štrba was the one to do the kick off. Zdeno Brezník received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Branislav Janovský tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Scania's Bartolomej Vrana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matúš Mičian in the 66th minute of play. Tibor Žiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, FC Scania's goalkeeper Bartolomej Vrana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matúš Mičian. Branislav Janovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Žiak in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, FC Scania's Tibor Žiak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Branislav Janovský made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Pavol Hlavaj hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Scania had won after a very even match.
