When Michal Urban fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cifer's protests and gave Michal Urban a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes FC Cifer got a freekick which was hit by Michal Urban. Ondrej Majerčák who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Jakub Soboňa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Viktor Ivana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Čanecký's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. FC Cifer's Marek Cvengroš couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Blue Storks youth academy. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Čanecký in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Ivana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Žigmund Briestenský had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Ivana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Čanecký in the 41st minute of play. After the first half FC Cifer were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Blue Storks youth academy booed when FC Cifer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Laučík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viktor Ivana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Žigmund Briestenský went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute, Dušan Drotár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Dzubera struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jakub Soboňa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Storks youth academy.
