Aurel Penner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Hrčka's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Tomáš Pataj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potoky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomáš Pataj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Hrčka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Aurel Penner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Jozef Zelený shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Penner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbert Ňahaj hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in JUNIORKA SLOVANA's zone, Tomáš Pataj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samo Kaňuk came out of the goal and Tomáš Pataj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JUNIORKA SLOVANA's Samo Kaňuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Pataj in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalkeeper Samo Kaňuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomáš Janočko. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jozef Zelený made the kick off in the second half. Samo Kaňuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomáš Pataj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samo Kaňuk prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
