With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Kočan in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Kukan saved Baghdad Bruins from getting behind. Marcel Gojdič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ivan Kukan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Richard Kočan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcel Gojdič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Kukan having to interfere. Bohuš Koči showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdeno Korach in the 29th minute of the match. Miroslav Rezeš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baghdad Bruins's Zdeno Korach got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Piestany Slayers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baghdad Bruins were winning 0-1.

When the final whistle sounded Baghdad Bruins left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Piestany Slayers.
