Spectators: 6852 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Matej Bezák cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ľubomír Karaš was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vladimír Cigáň might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ľubomír Karaš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimír Cigáň ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, FC NITRA's Ivo Paluška got a free kick in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Vladimír Cigáň's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ľubomír Karaš was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Tomáš Kyšidaj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ján Čambora's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Oskar Pavlacký kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Sporting Club Kanguru's Matej Bezák nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ľubomír Karaš made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tomáš Kyšidaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ján Čambora in the 24th minute of play. Ján Čambora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matej Bezák in the 32nd minute of play forced FC NITRA's goalkeeper Ľubomír Karaš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matej Bezák fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ľubomír Karaš having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Sporting Club Kanguru's Vladimír Cigáň made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ľubomír Karaš was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ján Čambora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC NITRA booed when Sporting Club Kanguru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimír Cigáň didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matej Bezák sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ľubomír Karaš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matej Bezák, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Vladimír Cigáň fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ľubomír Karaš, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club Kanguru's zone, Ján Čambora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomáš Kyšidaj came out of the goal and Ján Čambora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladimír Cigáň struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ľubomír Karaš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Club Kanguru. The crowd rose to their feet as Matej Bezák kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ľubomír Karaš. That made the score 0-4 in the 88 minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Ján Čambora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC NITRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ján Čambora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomáš Kyšidaj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ján Čambora's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Sporting Club Kanguru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC NITRA.
