When Viliam Vácval came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FK Pezan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viliam Vácval couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Kanguru's Matej Bezák sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Hejnus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viliam Vácval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Kyšidaj having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Radoslav Bališ shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomáš Kyšidaj showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Viliam Vácval managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Pezan's supporters rose to their feet, but Viliam Vácval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomáš Kyšidaj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomáš Kyšidaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viliam Vácval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dušan Hejnus had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Matúš Paliesek's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Matúš Paliesek scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dušan Hejnus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Kanguru's goal looked a bit too open when Antón Efler came free, but Tomáš Kyšidaj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FK Pezan's Viliam Vácval in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dušan Hejnus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimír Cigáň in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viliam Vácval to make the kick off. Tomáš Kyšidaj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antón Efler in the 52nd minute. After 55 played minutes Sporting Club Kanguru got a freekick which was hit by Stanislav Vittek. Antón Efler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Kanguru's goal looked a bit too open when Viliam Vácval came free, but Tomáš Kyšidaj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FK Pezan booed when Sporting Club Kanguru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Juhás didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FK Pezan's Viliam Vácval got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Sporting Club Kanguru getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Matúš Paliesek hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Miloš Húska hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 89 minutes, Viliam Vácval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Pezan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viliam Vácval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antón Efler might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomáš Kyšidaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antón Efler ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 93 minutes, Antón Efler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Pezan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antón Efler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sporting Club Kanguru supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FK Pezan's performance. The match ended with a win for FK Pezan.
