Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Podhorany FC's Stano Fedor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lazy pod Makytou's Viktor Forman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Podhorany FC. Ivan Štefanec's late challenge caught a Lazy pod Makytou's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Štefanec helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Vladislav Marinčák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Podhorany FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ľubomír Krasko came free, but Pavol Liška reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ľubomír Krasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pavol Liška tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Mišík recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gabriel Mišík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Mišík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Lazy pod Makytou getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ján Megela hit a great ball. Lazy pod Makytou's Ľubomír Krasko got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Lazy pod Makytou's Ľubomír Krasko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavol Liška narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Marek Putnocký ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomáš Habera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gabriel Mišík managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lazy pod Makytou's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Mišík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavol Liška breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Marek Putnocký shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomáš Habera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marek Putnocký received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tomáš Habera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lazy pod Makytou were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Podhorany FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Viktor Forman took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Viktor Forman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pavol Liška quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stano Fedor in the 70th minute of play forced Lazy pod Makytou's goalkeeper Tomáš Habera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavol Liška made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ľubomír Krasko in the 90th minute of play. When Gabriel Mišík came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lazy pod Makytou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Mišík couldn't finish the play. Stano Nárožný fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavol Liška having to interfere. Marek Putnocký fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Habera having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Lazy pod Makytou failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
