Marek Súľovský's late challenge caught a AS TRENČÍN 76's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marek Súľovský helped the player get up and apologised. Marek Súľovský kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ondrej Repčík got free with Blažej Ďuriš in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in AS TRENČÍN 76's zone, Martin Schurger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Elko came out of the goal and Martin Schurger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marek Súľovský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marek Elko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bratislava Hotspur's Blažej Ďuriš proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Bratislava Hotspur from getting a goal against them. Blažej Ďuriš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrej Feldek in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Róbert Bartošík left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bratislava Hotspur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Blažej Ďuriš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Mašša in the 21st minute of play. When Marek Súľovský came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Bratislava Hotspur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Súľovský couldn't finish the play. The supporters of AS TRENČÍN 76 booed when Bratislava Hotspur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Schurger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Róbert Bartošík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bratislava Hotspur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbert Bartošík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The wind increased when Marek Súľovský made the kick off in the second half. When Tomáš Fratrič fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS TRENČÍN 76's protests and gave Tomáš Fratrič a yellow card for diving instead. 51 minutes into the game, one of AS TRENČÍN 76:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The AS TRENČÍN 76 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Elko should have stopped the shot. Martin Schurger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Marek Súľovský managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bratislava Hotspur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Súľovský was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bratislava Hotspur's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
