Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) Slavomir Gyure made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 7th minute Norian Kusnier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Kohútik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Kohútik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavomir Gyure in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Norian Kusnier notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of 1 FC Tatran Prešov's Filip Kohútik. Filip Kohútik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Norian Kusnier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Opoj's zone, Matej Jarkovský stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alojz Cesnek came out of the goal and Matej Jarkovský tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes 1 FC Tatran Prešov got a freekick which was hit by Martin Juriček. When Matej Jarkovský came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the 1 FC Tatran Prešov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matej Jarkovský couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC Tatran Prešov's zone, Slavomir Gyure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Kohútik came out of the goal and Slavomir Gyure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Opoj booed when 1 FC Tatran Prešov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Mikúš didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filip Kohútik came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Opoj's Norian Kusnier. But to his dismay, Norian Kusnier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Pavol Šimko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Roland Podlubný had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Roland Podlubný managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1 FC Tatran Prešov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Podlubný was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matej Jarkovský to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Matej Jarkovský got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60thth minute of the game Matej Jarkovský who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Opoj's Alojz Cesnek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filip Kohútik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavomir Gyure, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Slavomir Gyure received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filip Kohútik came out and tried to block the shot, but Slavomir Gyure slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 71st minute. 1 FC Tatran Prešov's Filip Kohútik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save 1 FC Tatran Prešov from getting a goal against them. Matej Jarkovský scored 1-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alojz Cesnek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filip Kohútik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norian Kusnier in the 95th minute. Matej Jarkovský fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alojz Cesnek having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Opoj had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
