The audience thought a goal was coming when Samo Gron got free with Ján Gaži in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Brusno FK booed when FC Tagan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Vozár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Erdődy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ján Gaži read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gabriel Erdődy made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FC Tagan defense, Gabriel Erdődy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ján Gaži. The FC Tagan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ján Gaži should have stopped the shot. Ján Gaži showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dezider Kajcer, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gabriel Erdődy struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ján Gaži didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brusno FK. After 71 minutes of play, Brusno FK's Gabriel Erdődy made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ján Gaži was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Richard Vozár came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the FC Tagan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Vozár couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the game, Gabriel Erdődy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ján Gaži was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gabriel Erdődy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Adam Czimbala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norberd Ivana. Adam Czimbala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. If Samo Gron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brusno FK fully deserved thier win.
