Spectators: 8002 (Terracing: 6003, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) The audience was convinced that Vladimír Šafranka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ján Bruchala was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 6th play minutes Vladimir Apač shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ján Bruchala and just under the crossbar into goal. Ján Bruchala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimír Šafranka in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Sampool FC's Vladimír Šafranka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ján Bruchala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bernard Fabula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ján Bruchala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Apač, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Hugo Reštei kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Matúš Lovich struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Marek Revesz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hajduk Split. 30 minutes into the match, Sampool FC's Vladimir Apač sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ján Bruchala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Vladimír Šafranka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Vladimir Apač got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ján Bruchala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimír Šafranka in the 37th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Sampool FC's goalkeeper Marek Revesz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jozef Gajdoš. Ivan Stohl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ján Bruchala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Vladimír Šafranka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sampool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimír Šafranka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Hajduk Split players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sampool FC were winning 0-2.

When Bernard Fabula fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hajduk Split's protests and gave Bernard Fabula a yellow card for diving instead. Bernard Fabula hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Vladimir Apač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sampool FC's Viktor Koštialik got a free kick in the 59th minute. Matúš Lovich didn't quite understand what happened when in the 60 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Ján Bruchala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Apač in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Vladimir Apač notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hajduk Split's Ján Bruchala. Ján Bruchala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 66 minutes, Vladimír Šafranka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sampool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimír Šafranka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Vladimir Apač fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vladimír Šafranka in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ján Bruchala, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dušan Petráš hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Sampool FC's Vladimir Apač got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Hajduk Split was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Slabej to maneuver through the defense. When Martin Machala fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hajduk Split's protests and gave Martin Machala a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Apač in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ján Bruchala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ján Bruchala made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Vladimír Šafranka sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Hajduk Split's zone, Vladimir Apač stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ján Bruchala came out of the goal and Vladimir Apač tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ján Bruchala was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Vladimír Šafranka capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vladimír Šafranka really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 91st minute, Vladimir Apač got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Hajduk Split was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Machala to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Apač in the 93rd minute of play forced Hajduk Split's goalkeeper Ján Bruchala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sampool FC booed when Hajduk Split was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Petráš didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vladimir Apač came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sampool FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Apač couldn't finish the play. After 96 played minutes Hajduk Split got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Handzuš. When Vladimír Šafranka came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Sampool FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimír Šafranka couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sampool FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
