Brusno FK's Samo Gron got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Hajduk Split got a freekick which was hit by Dušan Petráš. The audience was convinced that Samo Gron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ján Bruchala was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Vincent Baran hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Jozef Gajdoš's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Norberd Ivana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Fabula in the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gabriel Erdődy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ján Bruchala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Erdődy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Hajduk Split's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Erdődy came free, but Ján Bruchala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brusno FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
