The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimír Pavlovič during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the match, Dark Horses Kosice's Stanislav Kúkoľ broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 20th minute, Dark Horses Kosice's Andrej Zudor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ivan Cimerman came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Navy Seals's Tomáš Múdry. But to his dismay, Tomáš Múdry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Tomáš Fiamčík managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dark Horses Kosice's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomáš Fiamčík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Seno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FK Navy Seals getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Matúš Dudáš hit a great ball. Miroslav Ledník sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Tibor Kotmánik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Cimerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Ledník, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Dark Horses Kosice's Ivan Cimerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Múdry in the 42nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Stanislav Kúkoľ got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gabriel Seno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andrej Zudor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miroslav Ledník was the one to do the kick off. Ivan Cimerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Ledník, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matúš Dudáš hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Tomáš Fiamčík took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Seno. Gabriel Seno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ivan Cimerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Ledník in the 62nd minute of play. When Peter Kresák fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Horses Kosice's protests and gave Peter Kresák a yellow card for diving instead. Matúš Dudáš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Cimerman having to interfere. If Andrej Zudor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrej Zudor in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Seno saved FK Navy Seals from getting behind. In the 75th match minute, FK Navy Seals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimír Pavlovič to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Fiamčík in the 86th minute of play forced FK Navy Seals's goalkeeper Gabriel Seno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Tomáš Fiamčík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Navy Seals's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
