After 19 minutes of play, ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce's Jergus Seman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jergus Seman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Marek Barčík came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Barčík couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Richard Vozár made the kick off in the second half. Matej Kavecký recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce's Jergus Seman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ján Gaži. Ján Gaži yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 57 minutes into the match, FC Tagan's goalkeeper Ján Gaži had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matej Kavecký. Jergus Seman in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ján Gaži, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce's Martin Fedorík got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jergus Seman in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ján Gaži prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jergus Seman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jergus Seman couldn't finish the play. If Matej Kavecký had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce's goalkeeper Ľubomír Piruch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st play minute Marek Barčík came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ján Gaži. 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matej Kavecký got free with Ján Gaži in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tagan's zone, Jergus Seman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ján Gaži came out of the goal and Jergus Seman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jergus Seman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ján Gaži came out and tried to block the shot, but Jergus Seman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 84th minute. Jergus Seman struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ján Gaži didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce. Juraj Jančo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ján Gaži took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Fedorík, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ŠK ŠTART Medzilaborce played a much better game than FC Tagan and deserved their victory. The FC Tagan players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
