Ján Ballon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Cimerman. Dark Horses Kosice's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomáš Fiamčík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matej Kramer having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Tomáš Fiamčík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dark Horses Kosice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomáš Fiamčík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michal Kvasnička's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Cimerman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Lukáš Súľovský managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boliarov FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukáš Súľovský was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Cimerman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 17 minutes, Peter Kresák mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dark Horses Kosice and the Boliarov FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peter Kresák hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Horses Kosice's zone, Dušan Bošák stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Cimerman came out of the goal and Dušan Bošák tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Michal Kvasnička kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivan Cimerman. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodor Čertický during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michal Kvasnička struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ivan Cimerman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boliarov FK. Matej Kramer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Fiamčík in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Boliarov FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matej Rataj to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Tomáš Fiamčík notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Boliarov FK's Matej Kramer. Matej Kramer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomáš Fiamčík might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matej Kramer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomáš Fiamčík ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Boliarov FK's goal looked a bit too open when Andrej Zudor came free, but Matej Kramer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Boliarov FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matúš Rybárik to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Tomáš Fiamčík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matej Kramer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lukáš Súľovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Boliarov FK's goal looked a bit too open when Andrej Zudor came free, but Matej Kramer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Michal Kvasnička had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukáš Súľovský made a kick off. After some careless play in the Dark Horses Kosice defense, Michal Kvasnička kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Cimerman. The Dark Horses Kosice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Cimerman should have stopped the shot. Lukáš Súľovský fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Cimerman having to interfere. Ivan Cimerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Súľovský, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Michal Kvasnička sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Boliarov FK booed when Dark Horses Kosice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Kresák didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dark Horses Kosice's Andrej Zudor got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Michal Kvasnička came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Boliarov FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Kvasnička couldn't finish the play.
