Matúš Rafaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Podmajerský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matúš Rafaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Podmajerský in the 9th minute of play. If Michal Petro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dušan Lovich during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Lapaji was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dušan Lovich to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Michal Petro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matúš Rafaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslav Šramko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stano Horník's late challenge caught a Lapaji's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stano Horník helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Stano Horník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Miroslav Šramko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrej Cabak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Koreň went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak got control of the ball when Miroslav Šramko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes Lapaji got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Nádašdy. After 64 minutes, Martin Masaryk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Hlohovec and the Lapaji players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was beautiful to see Lapaji's Miroslav Rudolf in action when he in the 66th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Tibor Šuran kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When Lapaji's Rudolf Koreň in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Hlohovec's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Šramko in the 74th minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Michal Petro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matúš Rafaj. That made the score 1-1 in the 78 minute of play. FK Hlohovec's Andrej Cabak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Šramko in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Lapaji getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dušan Lovich hit a great ball. The FK Hlohovec players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
