Spectators: 6836 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alojz Varmuža started the match with the kick off. Matej Guľáš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alojz Varmuža had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matej Guľáš in the 11th minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrej Cabak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alojz Varmuža, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matej Guľáš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Lacinák showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Petro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gabriel Podmajerský in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Lacinák, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stano Horník hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Andrej Cabak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alojz Varmuža in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute Michal Petro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Lacinák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matej Guľáš in the 40th minute of play forced FK Hlohovec's goalkeeper Andrej Cabak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michal Petro made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolonica FC's goalkeeper Daniel Lacinák, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michal Petro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Kolonica FC's protests and gave Roland Rezeš a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Roland Rezeš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the game, Gabriel Podmajerský cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Daniel Lacinák was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alojz Varmuža fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrej Cabak having to interfere. Andrej Cabak was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Alojz Varmuža capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alojz Varmuža really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Matej Guľáš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrej Cabak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alojz Varmuža in the 95th minute of play. Gabriel Podmajerský took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Lacinák. Daniel Lacinák dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Kolonica FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
