Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alojz Varmuža started the match with the kick off. Matej Guľáš in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrej Cabak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Alojz Varmuža got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tibor Šuran hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kolonica FC booed when FK Hlohovec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Masaryk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matej Guľášs short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Andrej Cabak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matej Guľáš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matej Guľáš's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Andrej Cabak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Alojz Varmuža came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Kolonica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alojz Varmuža couldn't finish the play. Tibor Šuran charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tibor Šuran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes FK Hlohovec got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Šuran. 46 minutes into the game, Matej Guľáš cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Andrej Cabak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michal Petro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kolonica FC's Matej Guľáš got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alojz Varmuža got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Andrej Cabak handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Gabriel Podmajerský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Daniel Lacinák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrej Cabak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matej Guľáš, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Michal Petro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matej Guľáš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrej Cabak having to interfere. A collision led to FK Hlohovec getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Stano Horník hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Petro in the 82nd minute of play forced Kolonica FC's goalkeeper Daniel Lacinák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gabriel Podmajerský had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrej Cabak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alojz Varmuža, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Kolonica FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
