After a rather tough play, Lapaji's Dušan Lovich got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 17 minutes, Matej Rafaj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fk Levice and the Lapaji players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matej Rafaj hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gabriel Seman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Šramko, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Teodor Šípoš charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Šípoš the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Fk Levice got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Šípoš. Gabriel Seman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Šramko in the 37th minute of play. Miroslav Rudolf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fk Levice's Gabriel Seman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Koreň in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juraj Franko to strike the kick off in the second half. After 80 played minutes Fk Levice got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Šípoš. Miroslav Šramko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The supporters of Lapaji booed when Fk Levice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matej Rafaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Fk Levice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Seman should have stopped the shot. The Fk Levice fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lapaji were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
