Kristy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Štefan Hupka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gabriel Jež sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Štefan Hupka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milan Janáč having to interfere. René Balajty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st match minute, Kristy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Kolník to maneuver through the defense. Branislav Kovaľčík stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambróz Klimkovič's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Milan Janáč took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Balajty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Štefan Hupka got free with Milan Janáč in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kristy's Milan Janáč proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Kristy from getting a goal against them. If Miroslav Marguš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Gabriel Jež had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zdeno Baštovánsky stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, FC Chawoya's Gabriel Jež made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Milan Janáč was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute Štefan Hupka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milan Janáč saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Kristy defense, René Balajty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milan Janáč. The Kristy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milan Janáč should have stopped the shot. Ambróz Klimkovič hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, René Balajty ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milan Janáč was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kristy's zone, René Balajty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milan Janáč came out of the goal and René Balajty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Štefan Hupka took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milan Janáč. Milan Janáč dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 78th minute, Štefan Hupka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milan Janáč was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gabriel Jež managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Chawoya's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Jež was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milan Janáč breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute of the match Erik Ondejko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Milan Janáč skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Štefan Hupka in the 84th minute of play forced Kristy's goalkeeper Milan Janáč to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Ambróz Klimkovič notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of FC Chawoya's Branislav Kovaľčík. Branislav Kovaľčík was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Chawoya walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
