The Ultras Cheerleaders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Súkeľ should have stopped the shot. Milan Hološko's late challenge caught a Ultras Cheerleaders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milan Hološko helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bojnice's Milan Hološko got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Dušan Palúch came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ultras Cheerleaders fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Ultras Cheerleaders booed when Bojnice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Číž didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Dušan Palúch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ultras Cheerleaders's supporters rose to their feet, but Dušan Palúch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Driensky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dušan Palúch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Richard Déneš's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Driensky was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Marek Súkeľ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Konkoly in the 83rd minute of play.
