The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Štefan Hupka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Ladislav Bartal made a huge save. Záturčie United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Gabriel Jež scored to the left of an out of position Ladislav Bartal, making the score, 1-0. Gabriel Cvengroš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ladislav Bartal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Erik Ondejko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Chawoya and the Záturčie United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, FC Chawoya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Ondejko to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, FC Chawoya's Štefan Hupka ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ladislav Bartal. Ladislav Bartal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Dušan Plesník sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If René Balajty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislav Bartal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Jež, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladislav Bartal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Jež's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Záturčie United's goalkeeper Ladislav Bartal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Štefan Hupka. Štefan Hupka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Záturčie United's Ladislav Bartal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Jež in the 43rd minute of play. With a little luck, Záturčie United's Ladislav Bartal got control of the ball when Štefan Hupka tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dušan Belža was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Záturčie United defense, Ján Šálek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislav Bartal. The Záturčie United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislav Bartal should have stopped the shot. If Štefan Hupka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislav Bartal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Štefan Hupka, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Gabriel Cvengroš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Štefan Hupka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Bartal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Záturčie United's zone, Štefan Hupka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Bartal came out of the goal and Štefan Hupka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Miroslav Marguš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chawoya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miroslav Marguš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Gabriel Jež had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislav Bartal. Záturčie United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Jež was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. A collision led to Záturčie United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Dušan Belža hit a great ball. Štefan Hupka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ladislav Bartal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Jež struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ladislav Bartal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Chawoya. In the 94th minute Štefan Hupka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Bartal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Záturčie United's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Jež came free, but Ladislav Bartal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Chawoya's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
