With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrej Filo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The goalkeeper, Miroslav Heršic, was totally fooled by FC Patrónka Bratislava's Martin Pároš, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 35 minutes into the game, one of FC KVP Košice:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Martin Pároš shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ján Sviatko in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miroslav Heršic saved FC KVP Košice from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matej Hájiček in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Patrónka Bratislava's goalkeeper Andrej Filo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodor Išták made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Patrónka Bratislava's Tomáš Zeleňák. Miroslav Heršic made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Jaromír Martin sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matej Hájiček stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
