When Stano Telka came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FK 1952 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stano Telka couldn't finish the play. Pavlos Iordanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stano Čerňan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavlos Iordanidis in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Pavlos Iordanidis made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FK 1952's Stano Čerňan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FK 1952 booed when MFK Ružomberok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arild Njærheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavlos Iordanidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stano Čerňan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavlos Iordanidis ran back to his position shaking his head. Stano Čerňan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chucky Norris in the 39th minute of play. Dávid Kuba struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Stano Čerňan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MFK Ružomberok.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugen Gerbóc was the one to do the kick off. Pavlos Iordanidis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Stano Čerňan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pavlos Iordanidis ran back to his position shaking his head. MFK Ružomberok's Arild Njærheim got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stano Čerňan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dávid Kuba in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavlos Iordanidis in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stano Čerňan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pavlos Iordanidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pavlos Iordanidis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Stano Čerňan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. MFK Ružomberok's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
