When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Petrovický was the one to do the kick off. Ján Sviatko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Stanislav Žabka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ján Sviatko sped through FK Kubko's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanislav Žabka. Stanislav Žabka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ján Sviatko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of FK Kubko:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Patrónka Bratislava:s goal. If Ján Sviatko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaromír Martin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dušan Tomaschek charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dušan Tomaschek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, Dušan Tomaschek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, FK Kubko's goal looked a bit too open when Jaromír Martin came free, but Stanislav Žabka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jaromír Martin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ján Sviatko in the 74th minute of play forced FK Kubko's goalkeeper Stanislav Žabka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, FC Patrónka Bratislava's goalkeeper Andrej Filo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rastislav Smutný. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaromír Martin in the 79th minute of play forced FK Kubko's goalkeeper Stanislav Žabka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ján Sviatko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
