Spectators: 6945 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 17 played minutes FC KVP Košice got a freekick which was hit by Jozef Hospodár. Miroslav Heršic made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Erik Hrebíček sent off a good shot on target. Miroslav Heršic had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Imrich Fedor from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC KVP Košice's goalkeeper Miroslav Heršic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Matej Hájiček managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC KVP Košice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matej Hájiček was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Kolonica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matej Hájiček came free, but Andrej Dobák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC KVP Košice's Miroslav Heršic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FC KVP Košice from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC KVP Košice getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jozef Hospodár hit a great ball. Erik Hrebíček sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miroslav Heršic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Imrich Fedor in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Imrich Fedor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC KVP Košice's Miroslav Heršic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Imrich Fedor was the one to do the kick off. Erik Hrebíček sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Imrich Fedor came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Kolonica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Imrich Fedor couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Hrebíček in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miroslav Heršic saved FC KVP Košice from getting behind. FC KVP Košice's Miroslav Heršic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Hrebíček in the 70th minute of play. Imrich Fedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslav Heršic having to interfere. Miroslav Heršic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrej Pápay during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Kolonica FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrej Pápay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Imrich Fedor in the 93rd minute of play forced FC KVP Košice's goalkeeper Miroslav Heršic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslav Heršic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Hrebíček, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
