Spectators: 8530 (Terracing: 6398, Seating: 1962, VIP seats: 170) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pavlos Iordanidis started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Jozef Hospodár mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC KVP Košice and the MFK Ružomberok players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Jozef Hospodár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The MFK Ružomberok fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when MFK Ružomberok's Pavlos Iordanidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 16 minutes, Pavlos Iordanidis made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. FC KVP Košice's Miroslav Heršic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Pavlos Iordanidis put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Miroslav Heršic. Pavlos Iordanidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslav Heršic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Miroslav Heršic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavlos Iordanidis's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Miroslav Heršic came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by MFK Ružomberok's Arild Njærheim. But to his dismay, Arild Njærheim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The supporters of FC KVP Košice booed when MFK Ružomberok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chucky Norris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Pavlos Iordanidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miroslav Heršic was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Pavlos Iordanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the game, Pavol Maliniak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC KVP Košice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MFK Ružomberok the free kick. The supporters of MFK Ružomberok booed when FC KVP Košice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavol Maliniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrich Šípka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Miroslav Heršic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matej Hájiček stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Pavlos Iordanidis lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Miroslav Heršic. In the 56th minute, Pavlos Iordanidis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. FC KVP Košice's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Pavlos Iordanidis scored to the left of an out of position Miroslav Heršic, making the score, 0-8. Ivan Čanecký took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Hospodár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dávid Kuba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Chucky Norris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miroslav Heršic was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. When MFK Ružomberok's Pavlos Iordanidis in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC KVP Košice's goalie prevented a goal. Miroslav Heršic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavlos Iordanidis in the 86th minute of play. Miroslav Heršic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dávid Kuba, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC KVP Košice's zone, Chucky Norris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miroslav Heršic came out of the goal and Chucky Norris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When MFK Ružomberok's Pavlos Iordanidis in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC KVP Košice's goalie prevented a goal. Pavlos Iordanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Pavlos Iordanidis made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. FC KVP Košice's Miroslav Heršic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded MFK Ružomberok left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC KVP Košice.
