But to his dismay, Ľubomír Paštrnák quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ľubomír Paštrnák fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matej Čambor having to interfere. Matej Čambor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ľubomír Paštrnák's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 44 minutes in the game Maroš Rospopa got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ľubomír Paštrnák was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juraj Cykala came free, but Erik Rašovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Rašovský didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juraj Cykala went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Hranovnica booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Smrečko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maroš Rospopa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erik Rašovský. Liverpool FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Hranovnica getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Džubák got free with Matej Čambor in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 79 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Ľubomír Paštrnák. 80 minutes into the match, Oliver Jasovský notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Liverpool FC's Erik Rašovský. Erik Rašovský was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pavol Trebuňa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ľubomír Paštrnák had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Martin Smrečko hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Liverpool FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hranovnica.
