Ruskovce FC's Stano Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Behúň in the 12th minute of play. Gabriel Behúň struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Stano Gallo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Diera. In the 23rd match minute, FC Diera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Galbavý to maneuver through the defense. If Vladimir Dolinka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stano Gallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Štefan Dragula, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Gabriel Behúň recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 minutes of play, FC Diera's Štefan Dragula made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stano Gallo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Štefan Dragula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stano Gallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Ľubomír Šroub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruskovce FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Diera the free kick. Ľubomír Šroub hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Štefan Dragula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Štefan Dragula in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stano Gallo saved Ruskovce FC from getting behind. After 55 minutes of play, FC Diera's Štefan Dragula made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stano Gallo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gabriel Baťa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Stano Gallo made a huge save. The supporters of FC Diera booed when Ruskovce FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Dolinka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Baťa's late challenge caught a Ruskovce FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Baťa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Diera's Gabriel Baťa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Vladimir Dolinka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibor Čižmár having to interfere. FC Diera's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
