Marián Kundráčik was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. FK Púchov's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Adam Širka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Piotr Rydz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Piotr Rydz struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Adam Širka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Púchov. FK Púchov's Marián Kundráčik got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lukavica booed when FK Púchov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Lomnický didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Piotr Rydz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Širka was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 34thth minute of the game Piotr Rydz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lukavica's Adam Širka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marián Kundráčik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piotr Rydz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ján Tirpák scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Širka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Marián Kundráčik came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the FK Púchov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marián Kundráčik couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute of the match Gabriel Paulovič sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimír Šesták skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Igor Kúdelka got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 95th match minute, FK Púchov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Špaček to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FK Púchov fully deserved thier win.
