If Dorjano Fistrič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Zdenislav Jesenšek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorjano Fistrič to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tomislav Radoš got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zdenislav Jesenšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes, Zvezdan Bukovec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kozina and the Veržej players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jurij Cerkvenik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Veržej's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
