Ernes Mally hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Železniki MNK's goalkeeper Christian Jančar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasilij Herga. 17 minutes into the game, Dinko Beguš cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Christian Jančar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beno Remškar charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beno Remškar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Trbovlje booed when Železniki MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beno Remškar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miro Vračar got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Miro Vračar hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Nino Karničar let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 59th minute shot 2-2 at rihgt post. If Nino Karničar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Železniki MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alojzij Lovšin to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Vojščak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Jančar. Železniki MNK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasilij Herga in the 71st minute of play forced Železniki MNK's goalkeeper Christian Jančar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinko Beguš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Christian Jančar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nino Karničar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Jančar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinko Beguš, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Christian Jančar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinko Beguš in the 83rd minute of the match. Vlado Matić was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nino Karničar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 86 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dinko Beguš's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Jančar was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
