Karim Gjerkeš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sali Goršek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Karim Gjerkeš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Karim Gjerkeš sped through Dobje's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sali Goršek. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hubert Zakotnik was the one to do the kick off. Karim Gjerkeš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ožbolt Smodiš charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ožbolt Smodiš the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Šampion Celje's Ožbolt Smodiš got a free kick in the 55th minute. Karim Gjerkeš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Dobje's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Gjerkeš came free, but Sali Goršek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sali Goršek made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Mai Malešič sent off a good shot on target. Karim Gjerkeš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dobje's Sali Goršek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Dobje from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Dobje's Teodor Sever got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Paskal Bezjak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dobje's supporters rose to their feet, but Paskal Bezjak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zahir Markovič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ožbolt Smodiš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Gjerkeš in the 90th minute of play forced Dobje's goalkeeper Sali Goršek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Šampion Celje's Zahir Markovič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paskal Bezjak in the 93rd minute of play. Hubert Zakotnik succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3.
