An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislav Mišković in the 13th minute of play forced Škofljica's goalkeeper Kristian Ferjan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragoslav Tehovnik was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Škofljica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 20th minute, one of Škofljica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Škofljica. 28 minutes into the match, Cerkvenjak's goalkeeper Milisav Šorli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Din Reš. 30 minutes in the game, Dragoslav Tehovnik fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Milisav Šorli having to interfere. Dragoslav Tehovnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Milisav Šorli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cerkvenjak's Salih Giovani got a free kick in the 35th minute. Nerino Marinčič took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Milisav Šorli. In the 46th minute, Dragoslav Tehovnik reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Milisav Šorli. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoslav Tehovnik to make the kick off. Kristian Ferjan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikolaj Peternel in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Škofljica's Emilijano Strnad got a free kick in the 55th minute. Din Reš scored 2-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milisav Šorli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dragoslav Tehovnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milisav Šorli having to interfere. Dragoslav Tehovnik hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Nikolaj Peternel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Kristian Ferjan made a huge save. Škofljica's Dragoslav Tehovnik got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Dragoslav Tehovnik notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cerkvenjak's Milisav Šorli. Milisav Šorli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dragoslav Tehovnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Milisav Šorli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Škofljica's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
