Mino Derčaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasilije Tominšek having to interfere. Vasilije Tominšek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robi Kropivšek in the 10th minute of play. Armand Anžlovar charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armand Anžlovar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elvis Zemljič hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Robi Kropivšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vasilije Tominšek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mino Derčaj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasilije Tominšek was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Vrtojba's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Pejčić came free, but Rastko Štruklec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nijaz Dolžan kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vrtojba's zone, Theodor Kosednar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rastko Štruklec came out of the goal and Theodor Kosednar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theodor Kosednar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Rastko Štruklec 38 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Pejčić got free with Rastko Štruklec in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gašper Uranc kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gerard Pejčić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Prevalje FC's Gerard Pejčić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rastko Štruklec. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Prevalje FC's Vasilije Tominšek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Prevalje FC from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vrtojba players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Prevalje FC.
