With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alaga Vevcar in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borivoj Lajevec saved Selnica ob Dravi ND from getting behind. Aldo Kampjut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mesud Pavšek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Selnica ob Dravi ND's Borivoj Lajevec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Tahirović in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Oplotnica ND's Mesud Pavšek got control of the ball when Aldo Kampjut tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Aldo Kampjut managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selnica ob Dravi ND's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Kampjut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mesud Pavšek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Borivoj Lajevec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alaga Vevcar in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Matey Potočin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mesud Pavšek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Oplotnica ND's Karlo Pemič got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Alaga Vevcar came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Oplotnica ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alaga Vevcar couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Selnica ob Dravi ND's goal looked a bit too open when Alaga Vevcar came free, but Borivoj Lajevec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Selnica ob Dravi ND booed when Oplotnica ND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franek Mežnar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Darko Andrin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Oplotnica ND's Mesud Pavšek didn't even have to move. In the 38th match minute, Oplotnica ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaša Smrtnik to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Matey Potočin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mesud Pavšek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihail Tahirović was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Selnica ob Dravi ND's goalkeeper Borivoj Lajevec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alaga Vevcar. 58 minutes into the game, Vid Kukovec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selnica ob Dravi ND's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oplotnica ND the free kick. Mesud Pavšek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matey Potočin went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Matey Potočin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mesud Pavšek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Selnica ob Dravi ND got a freekick which was hit by Bore Mesojedec. 77 minutes into the match, Oplotnica ND's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Kampjut came free, but Mesud Pavšek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matey Potočin in the 79th minute of play forced Oplotnica ND's goalkeeper Mesud Pavšek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mesud Pavšek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Kampjut in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Oplotnica ND's Mihail Tahirović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borivoj Lajevec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute Mihail Tahirović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borivoj Lajevec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borivoj Lajevec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Tahirović in the 86th minute of the match. Mihail Tahirović received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Borivoj Lajevec came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihail Tahirović slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 89th minute. Aldo Kampjut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Selnica ob Dravi ND supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oplotnica ND's performance. The match ended with a win for Oplotnica ND.
