Spectators: 6802 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1802, VIP seats: 0) Domžale's Remo Ivančič started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Remo Ivančič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitodrag Velepec in the 17th minute of play forced Domžale's goalkeeper Domen Poteko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domen Poteko made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Egon Božičnik sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egon Božičnik got free with Domen Poteko in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miha Metelan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milanko Spahič read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Miha Metelan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Milanko Spahič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Domžale booed when Dobrna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amon Petre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egon Božičnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute of the match, Vitodrag Velepec tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domen Poteko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Amon Petre charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amon Petre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Dobrna got a freekick which was hit by Amon Petre. 48 minutes into the match, Domžale's Miha Metelan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milanko Spahič narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitodrag Velepec made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Herman Škulj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milanko Spahič was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Miha Metelan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Milanko Spahič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vitodrag Velepec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melvin Ramšak's late challenge caught a Dobrna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melvin Ramšak helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Dobrna defense, Remo Ivančič kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milanko Spahič. The Dobrna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milanko Spahič should have stopped the shot. Janos Pihler kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Egon Božičnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Domžale's goal looked a bit too open when Vitodrag Velepec came free, but Domen Poteko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Ivančič in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Milanko Spahič, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Remo Ivančičs short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Milanko Spahič to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vitodrag Velepec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domen Poteko having to interfere. Domžale's Domen Poteko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Božičnik in the 80th minute of play. Domen Poteko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Božičnik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Ivančič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domžale played a much better game than Dobrna and deserved their victory. The Dobrna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
