Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Boško Sterle took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Rajnhold Markan made a precise shot to the right of Sven Škofljanec. Brežice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rajnhold Markans short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Sven Škofljanec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sven Škofljanec came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Pesnica's Rajnhold Markan. But to his dismay, Rajnhold Markan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 17 minutes into the match, Brežice's goal looked a bit too open when Tomi Sojer came free, but Sven Škofljanec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Brežice's Valdi Juršič sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marinko Gornik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sven Škofljanec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomi Sojer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Brežice booed when Pesnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renej Rotar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Boško Sterle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pesnica's Marinko Gornik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boško Sterle in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marinko Gornik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven Škofljanec made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Rajnhold Markan sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Pesnica's Rajnhold Markan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Škofljanec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomi Sojer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes Tomi Sojer rounded Brežice's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomi Sojer to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boško Sterle during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rajnhold Markan might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Škofljanec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rajnhold Markan ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomi Sojer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sven Škofljanec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pesnica booed when Brežice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaber Brumen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rajnhold Markan in the 67th minute of play forced Brežice's goalkeeper Sven Škofljanec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Brežice's goal looked a bit too open when Tomi Sojer came free, but Sven Škofljanec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomi Sojer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Škofljanec was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Rajnhold Markan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Škofljanec having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Brežice got a freekick which was hit by Ožbolt Komel. There was no doubt that Pesnica were the better team. Pesnica's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
