Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venčeslav Poteko in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adis Mole prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanko Kosec in the 29th minute of play forced FC ČRNUČE-SLO's goalkeeper Adis Mole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The NK Maribor fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when NK Maribor's Venčeslav Poteko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. NK Maribor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanko Kosec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Pratneker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adis Mole having to make a save. Stanko Kosec struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Adis Mole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Maribor. The FC ČRNUČE-SLO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. NK Maribor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
