The shot was stopped by Michel Gradišar but with some difficulty. Črtomir Kadič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Črtomir Kadič took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Michel Gradišar to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th minute Manfred Lednik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meti Šimnovec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manfred Lednik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfred Lednik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merlin Majstorović scored 2-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Gradišar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Deny Smiljan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruše's Manfred Lednik got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Črtomir Kadič to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Črtomir Kadič in the 52nd minute of play forced Ruše's goalkeeper Michel Gradišar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Kuzma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Živko Vračar to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Manfred Lednik in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 58 minutes into the match, Kuzma's goal looked a bit too open when Deny Smiljan came free, but Meti Šimnovec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deny Smiljan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Meti Šimnovec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruše's Manfred Lednik got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfred Lednik in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meti Šimnovec saved Kuzma from getting behind. Meti Šimnovec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deny Smiljan in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Ruše getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Manfred Lednik hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Kuzma's Merlin Majstorović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel Gradišar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Ruše's Manfred Lednik made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Meti Šimnovec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruše's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kuzma had won, even though Ruše had held more of the ball.
