Greenhorns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radlje ob Dravi NK the free kick. When Val Gostojić fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenhorns's protests and gave Val Gostojić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Greenhorns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Val Gostojić to maneuver through the defense. Rastko Pungartnik, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Sergej Zdešar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenhorns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergej Zdešar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrik Osterman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Domen Reisp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Val Gostojić hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Silvano Borko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Medard Štefančič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Osterman was a little too slow when Domen Reisp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Henrik Osterman made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Domen Reisp sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Medard Štefančič notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Radlje ob Dravi NK's Silvano Borko. Silvano Borko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Radlje ob Dravi NK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jurij Primc hit a great ball. When Greenhorns's Sergej Zdešar in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Radlje ob Dravi NK's goalie prevented a goal. Domen Reisp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domen Reisp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ilon Filipović fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radlje ob Dravi NK's protests and gave Ilon Filipović a yellow card for diving instead. Radlje ob Dravi NK's Silvano Borko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medard Štefančič in the 54th minute of play. Medard Štefančič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergej Zdešar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Silvano Borko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With splendid footwork Inot Petrič arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-2 by the left pole in the game's 74th minute. Greenhorns's Henrik Osterman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Mislovič in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Sergej Zdešar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Borko was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 85 minutes into the match, Radlje ob Dravi NK's goal looked a bit too open when Medard Štefančič came free, but Silvano Borko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Mislovič came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Radlje ob Dravi NK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Mislovič couldn't finish the play. Medard Štefančič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jurij Primc kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
