Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rajko Končan made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lendavske gorice's goalkeeper Jozo Hočevar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jozo Hočevar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rajko Končan in the 6th minute of play. Ordančo Korez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaž Doles having to interfere. When Ordančo Korez fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lendavske gorice's protests and gave Ordančo Korez a yellow card for diving instead. Ordančo Korez kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Feliks Čelik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Jozo Hočevar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Feliks Čelik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rajko Končan in the 19th minute of play forced Lendavske gorice's goalkeeper Jozo Hočevar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Dragan Škoflek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliks Čelik struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jozo Hočevar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maribor MNK. Maribor MNK's Feliks Čelik got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Maribor MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valerijan Šolman to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Lendavske gorice's Jozo Hočevar got control of the ball when Feliks Čelik tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 played minutes Lendavske gorice got a freekick which was hit by Livio Bratož. Radoslav Kajzar hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jozo Hočevar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rajko Končan in the 41st minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Maribor MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Ordančo Korez came free, but Blaž Doles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rupert Povše to strike the kick off in the second half. Emin Čelik took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jozo Hočevar. Jozo Hočevar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Rupert Povše came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Lendavske gorice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rupert Povše couldn't finish the play. Jozo Hočevar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliks Čelik in the 63rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliks Čelik in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jozo Hočevar saved Lendavske gorice from getting behind. Hasan Klemenčič hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Jozo Hočevar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rajko Končan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maribor MNK's goalkeeper Blaž Doles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Maribor MNK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Emin Čelik hit a great ball. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maribor MNK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Livio Bratož was slow to take the kick. During this time Lendavske gorice's players had a chance to rest. Damiano Serdinšek was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 86th minute, Ordančo Korez made a precise shot to the right of Blaž Doles. Maribor MNK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 91 minutes into the match, Maribor MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Povše came free, but Blaž Doles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Feliks Čelik came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Maribor MNK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliks Čelik couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Maribor MNK's Emin Čelik got a free kick in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
