An unexpectedly hard shot by Ordančo Korez in the 4th minute of play forced Štorklje MS's goalkeeper Quirinus Tarle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rupert Povše recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Štorklje MS's goalkeeper Quirinus Tarle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quirinus Tarle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Povše, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomo Zorc charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomo Zorc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Štorklje MS booed when Lendavske gorice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomo Zorc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rupert Povše struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Quirinus Tarle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lendavske gorice. 19 minutes into the match, Ordančo Korez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Štorklje MS's Quirinus Tarle. Quirinus Tarle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Severin Šolman came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jozo Hočevar could save by the left post. Zejnel Čonda kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Lendavske gorice's Jozo Hočevar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Lendavske gorice from getting a goal against them. Severin Šolman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jozo Hočevar having to interfere. Vilko Bukovec lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.

The wind increased when Rupert Povše made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Povše in the 64th minute of play forced Štorklje MS's goalkeeper Quirinus Tarle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quirinus Tarle made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ordančo Korez sent off a good shot on target. Theodor Napast kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Quirinus Tarle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ordančo Korez in the 74th minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rupert Povše sped through Štorklje MS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Quirinus Tarle. Thanks to some nice moves Ordančo Korez could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Quirinus Tarle however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Lendavske gorice's Rupert Povše slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Quirinus Tarle. That made the score 0-4 after 91 minutes of play. If Semiko Cerar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lendavske gorice had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
