Spectators: 7810 (Terracing: 5901, Seating: 1809, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Suljo Krulec started the match with the kick off. Melvin Sternad kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Jožef Verovšek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the nk selnica and the Kostel ND players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute Emil Omejec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidio Kovič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Kostel ND's Melvin Sternad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melvin Sternad in the 28th minute of play forced nk selnica's goalkeeper Karl Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernes Vesel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Karl Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kostel ND's zone, Jeronimo Rik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egidio Kovič came out of the goal and Jeronimo Rik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Eckegren came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Kostel ND's Melvin Sternad. But to his dismay, Melvin Sternad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The nk selnica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kostel ND were winning 1-2.

Emil Omejec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egidio Kovič having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Damir Karlatec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. nk selnica's Karl Eckegren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save nk selnica from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Jeronimo Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidio Kovič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Roni Osredkar made a precise shot to the right of Egidio Kovič. Kostel ND's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ersan Šoštarič hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Kostel ND's Ersan Šoštarič got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd match minute, nk selnica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mersudin Visinski to maneuver through the defense. Karl Eckegren made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Melvin Sternad sent off a good shot on target. Egidio Kovič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Rik in the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kostel ND's Tonček Berdavs got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
