Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Šempeter-Vrtojba's goalkeeper Giuliano Prusnik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Podvelka's Mik Filipović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Podvelka from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Klemen Orehek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuliano Prusnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mik Filipović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celesto Anderwald in the 12th minute of play. Ratko Botonjićs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Mik Filipović to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Podvelka's Beno Andrin got a free kick in the 20th minute. Šempeter-Vrtojba's Giuliano Prusnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amir Petač in the 27th minute of play. Celesto Anderwald struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Mik Filipović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Šempeter-Vrtojba. Ratko Botonjić took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mik Filipović. Mik Filipović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, Šempeter-Vrtojba's Celesto Anderwald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mik Filipović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Šempeter-Vrtojba's Giuliano Prusnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amir Petač in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Celesto Anderwald made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Celesto Anderwald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Šempeter-Vrtojba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celesto Anderwald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nebojša Antonić hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Podvelka booed when Šempeter-Vrtojba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nebojša Antonić didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Klemen Orehek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Podvelka's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemen Orehek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuliano Prusnik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Celesto Anderwald made a precise shot to the right of Mik Filipović. Podvelka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Podvelka's goal looked a bit too open when Celesto Anderwald came free, but Mik Filipović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Podvelka's Florian Štrumbelj got a free kick in the 64th minute. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Celesto Anderwald sped through Podvelka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mik Filipović. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ratko Botonjić in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mik Filipović saved Podvelka from getting behind. When Delzi Kostanjevec fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Podvelka's protests and gave Delzi Kostanjevec a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Podvelka's Delzi Kostanjevec got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Ratko Botonjić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Podvelka:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Šempeter-Vrtojba:s goal. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Šempeter-Vrtojba. Dušan Miheljak stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mik Filipović. 4-0. Celesto Anderwald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Celesto Anderwald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mik Filipović. Podvelka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celesto Anderwald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Ratko Botonjić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mik Filipović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Amir Petač shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuliano Prusnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mik Filipović came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Šempeter-Vrtojba's Celesto Anderwald. But to his dismay, Celesto Anderwald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Mik Filipović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celesto Anderwald's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Šempeter-Vrtojba had played much better football throughout.
