Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eugen Plesničar started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Dobje got a freekick which was hit by Jure Turšič. Eugen Plesničar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klavdij Kainz having to interfere. Nikola Kogoj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Klavdij Kainz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rade Bombek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bore Mihalek in the 16th minute of the match. Bore Mihalek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rade Bombek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Eugen Plesničar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klavdij Kainz was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Bore Mihalek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rade Bombek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eugen Plesničar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Dobje's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Plesničar came free, but Klavdij Kainz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Bore Mihalek made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manojla Mađarić in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rade Bombek saved Ljubljana from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Ira Dvornik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manojla Mađarić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rade Bombek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Nikola Kogoj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Nikola Kogoj lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Klavdij Kainz. If Bore Mihalek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikola Kogoj got free with Klavdij Kainz in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ljubljana's Eugen Plesničar got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cene Jernejc hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Eugen Plesničar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nikola Kogoj came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ljubljana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Kogoj couldn't finish the play. Rade Bombek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bore Mihalek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Ljubljana's Eugen Plesničar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Klavdij Kainz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Dobje supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ljubljana's performance. The match ended with a win for Ljubljana.
