Vitan Vorih didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ormož NK. Vitan Vorih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Uranc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of NK CELEIA booed when Ormož NK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Krajšek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helmut Jakšić was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daš Bilič. Helmut Jakšić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Đemal Markon in the 18th minute. Vitan Vorih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Uranc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Dominik Uranc notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of NK CELEIA's Vitan Vorih. Vitan Vorih was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Džon Šmalc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dominik Uranc, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Vitan Vorih was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. NK CELEIA's Vitan Vorih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Uranc in the 31st minute of play. Dominik Uranc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vitan Vorih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dominik Uranc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ormož NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominik Uranc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitan Vorih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Ermin Pukl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmut Jakšić was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Waldemar Lenarčič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Džon Šmalc got free with Vitan Vorih in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ormož NK's Dominik Uranc in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NK CELEIA's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Ormož NK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than NK CELEIA.
