Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Melvin Knežević started the match with the kick off. After 5th play minutes Melvin Knežević shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ferdinand Premk and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Miren-Kostanjevica FC's Felix Debelak got a free kick in the 9th minute. Rasti Brecl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Premk having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Ruše NK's Rasti Brecl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Premk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rasti Brecl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miren-Kostanjevica FC's Ordančo Gomboc got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Ruše NK's goal looked a bit too open when Ordančo Gomboc came free, but Alexander Maslovarić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Ruše NK got a freekick which was hit by Božo Žuža. In the 39th minute, Božo Žuža hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Maslovarić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ordančo Gomboc in the 44th minute of play. If Rasti Brecl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Miren-Kostanjevica FC's Ordančo Gomboc got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristian Isajevič's late challenge caught a Miren-Kostanjevica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Isajevič helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ruše NK getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kristian Isajevič hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Branko Hajdu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Maslovarić showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miren-Kostanjevica FC's Ferdinand Premk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melvin Knežević in the 59th minute of play. Ferdinand Premk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melvin Knežević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Miren-Kostanjevica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Debelak to maneuver through the defense. The Ruše NK fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Ruše NK's Melvin Knežević looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Rasti Brecl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melvin Knežević received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinand Premk came out and tried to block the shot, but Melvin Knežević slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 79th minute. Melvin Knežević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Premk having to interfere. When Ruše NK's Rasti Brecl in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Miren-Kostanjevica FC's goalie prevented a goal. Melvin Knežević received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinand Premk came out and tried to block the shot, but Melvin Knežević slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 89th minute. After 92 played minutes Ruše NK got a freekick which was hit by Cveto Molih. After having played for 94 minutes, Slavček Žonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miren-Kostanjevica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slavček Žonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruše NK's Melvin Knežević slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferdinand Premk. That made the score 0-5 after 96 minutes of play.
